We are going to run a marathon in 26 days.
me: It's raining. No running for me. Can we just decide right now that we're going to walk a part of it? No sudden bursts of energy and last-ditch efforts to prove oneself?
ann marie: yes, yes, yes. i was so hoping you would say that.
me: Oh what a relief. So, can we bring snacks or would that be taking it too far?
ann marie: taking it too far would be bringing a flask of wine. snacks help us keep up our energy, especially ones loaded with sugar.
me: Oooh but now wine sounds really good.
ann marie: two drunk participants escorted by car to finish line! love it.
me: We'll finally be celebrities.

we're going to run a marathon
Ann Marie: haven't run in many, many days. lazier then ever even with the nice weather. we may end up walking this thing. whatever ill bring snacks.
me: I have yet to run at all. I will let you know if that changes tomorrow.
Ann Marie: not once. are we better off winging it at this point? maybe we should rest as much as possible until then and put all our energy into that one day.
me: I like that plan. I also like the plan where we bring snacks.
